Merco M 160
DESCRIPTION: M160 is a self adhering, self bonding red triangular silicone tape. It offers excellent electrical insulation properties, moisture and chemical resistance. It's self bonding properties offer excellent conformability and adherence to irregular and nontraditional surfaces. Merco M160 silicone tape is made of a special unsupported silicone rubber compound which readily adheres to itself when wrapped under tension and forms a homogenous mass within 24 hours. The adhesion can be accelerated with heat and pressure.
APPLICATIONS: Ideal for a watertight insulated over wrap of any electrical connection, indoors and out. Automotive and general fluid hose repair, replacement for heat shrinkable tubing. Excellent replacement for electrical tape on marine applications. 500F high temperature range make it ideal for high temperature applications. No adhesive (self bonding) insures no residue.
